About the BUiLD Project
This page explains the vision and purpose behind our project. It's more than a building; it's a foundation for future ministry and community outreach - building a platform for the Gospel in Hamilton and beyond.
Our Mission & Vision
Our mission is to expand and modernise our facilities to better serve our growing congregation and the wider community, building a platform for the Gospel. We want to love and build eachother up in the Gospel of Christ, as outlined in 1 Thessalonians 5:11.
We envision a versatile hub that fosters connection, spiritual growth, and practical support, reflecting God's love in the heart of Hamilton.
Why BUiLD
For years, our church has been a vibrant home, but our current space limits our potential. Two of our back walls have significant degration, leading to safety concerns, and requiring major repair or rebuild.
On top of this, we need more space for our vibrant and growing kids' and youth programs, accessible facilities for all ages, and flexible areas for community groups and events, enabling us to better serve our community now and in the future, building strong and lasting connections.
What we’ve done so far
Have consulted on the project as a church family, we’ve had various conversations and stages of the project so far. You can see a high level view of the timeline below.
Where we are now
Having taken a church vote on a large-scale building project in 2024, we’ve decided at this point that the proposal in its current form <LINK TO PROPOSAL> is not what we want to commit to for now.
With that being said, we realise the need to fundraise to repair or rebuild our back walls. So we’ve entered a 2-year fundraising phase to help guide our next steps and long-term ambition, working towards one of two options:
-
What’s involved in this stage.
Risks.
