‘The Cornhill Summer School is also fast approaching at the end of May, from Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th. It offers a wonderful opportunity to experience something of life at Cornhill. Some attend because they are considering the course. Others would love to study with us with us but are unable to commit to the full course. Many simply want to get better at reading and teaching the Bible.

Each day is full and varied. There will be lectures on a New Testament book, James, and an Old Testament book, Ecclesiastes. We will also have Model Sermons from Micah, alongside a range of Bible handling workshops. The Summer School is always a rich time. New friendships are formed, confidence grows and skills are sharpened. Above all, we are encouraged together in the Word of God.

We would love you, or perhaps someone you know, to attend the Summer School. It is always a joy to study God’s word in this way.

‘Our final event of the session is the Expository Ministry Conference (EMC) which will be held at the end of June (23rd-25th). EMC is principally for pastors, including pastors in training. Our aim is to be nourished together in God’s word to sharpen our preaching, think biblically about the work of ministry, and encourage one another in our service of the Lord.

We are delighted to have a great line-up of speakers:

  • William Philip will be giving Bible expositions on Preaching Christ from the ‘Joseph’ story.

  • Peter Adam, former Principal of Ridley College, Melbourne, will lead our Thinking Theology sessions on Deadly Deism or Thankful Theism?

  • Jon Gemmell and Andy Gemmill will lead two practical sessions entitled Where will our next Pastor come from? – getting training into churches’ priorities and What are we really Preaching? – keeping exposition as the Pastors’ priority.

  • Paul Brenan will be leading a seminar on Prioritising Evangelism in Church life.

We would love to see you at EMC’26. Follow the link below for more details and to Book.’
