The publicity group meets as required to organise various forms of publicity for events in and organised by the church.

As a group, we currently look after the What's On, the church website and notice boards and the in-house printing. 

Activities

What's On

Each week, a printed What's On announcement sheet is prepared for anyone attending the church service. The What's On will often be the source of most news items also added to the website, although personal news and detailed contact information will sometimes only be found in the printed version.

Website

We are frequently making lots of changes to the church website and we need help in making the improvements. Our aim is to change the focus of the website from being an information resource to people in the church to being mostly an outreach to those visiting the site and considering coming to the church. At the moment, we're at the stage where we have gathered as much information as possible about the various organisations and activities run within the church. Armed with this information, we hope to produce a web page for each group to provide information to site visitors about what the organisation is and does, when it meets, how to get in touch and most of all, a welcome to new members. For any organisations interested in producing more material for the website and having a page or set of pages rather than just basic information, we'd be delighted to help put them together and add them to the site.

Church Notice Boards

The publicity group also looks after the various notice boards inside and outside the church. You'll find news of events here but also look out for posters made up by the church's children for special occasions.

Printing

The churchs has a high through-put duplicator and  a colour laser printer which enables us to do much of our printing in-house.

When/Where We Meet

We meet when we feel there is a need to, rather than on a regular basis. Meetings are usually held in the church, but are organised on an individual basis. At the moment, we're aiming to meet up every 2-3 months. In between meetings, we tend to keep in touch by email or by quick chats after the church services.

Computer skills are not required (the website is only a part of what we do).
