HBC Holiday Club - Day 3

HBC Holiday Club - Day 3

Last night was our third night of HBC’s Mission Impossible Holiday Club and we had nearly double the kids as we did on our first night! Praise God! It seems that team rivalries have started with the Pink Panthers being particularly vocal! All the kids are really enjoying learning new songs and the actions that go with them (we might even do a few this Sunday!) and of course they are enjoying all the games as well! Last night saw a return of the ‘throw a ball and knock a letter off’ (I’m sure that’s not the official title!) game and all I will say is that one team in particular had some serious throwing skills!

Brian led the teaching covering the Impossible Ladies, telling the story of Jairus and his daughter and the lady that kept bleeding. The children learnt that Jesus was able to heal both of these ladies and that even death could not stop him. It reminded me of just how big Jesus is and how little our problems really are when we think of his power! The kids as always listened well, it may have something to do with the quiz and prizes at the end, or it could be the fact that the kids are learning that Jesus really is awesome and nothing is impossible for him.

Please Pray:

·         We are now on night 4, many of the team are a little tired; pray that they have energy and excitement for the next 2 nights.

·         Pray that we can have great conversations with the kids when it comes to snack time.

·         Pray that the parents will come to our family night on Friday night and have a good time

·         Pray for the team as they organise Sunday morning’s service and that it will be a great time of worship!

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10
