Exodus Holiday Club - Day 4

Exodus Holiday Club - Day 4

Another fun night at Exodus Holiday Club has come and gone! I cannot believe how fast this week is flying by but you know what they say: ‘time flies when you’re having fun!’ The hall was well and truly packed tonight as we had the highest number of children yet this week with 49 in attendance, which only added to the excitement. We were also blessed with some great weather tonight and were able to stay outside for longer and take part in a range of fun and challenging ball games! The night was also filled with song, dance, challenges, our big quiz, then most importantly learning about God’s love for the world and all the people in it.

Fun during outdoor games!

Unfortunately, Brian and Jenny from Mad Ministries were unable to make it to Holiday Club tonight, and we did miss them but Paul did an excellent job leading the night. We even got a special visit from Simon and Kirsty, we are all so excited for them and are praying for a safe and healthy delivery of their little one.

The lesson continued and tonight the children learned that there were people who wanted Jesus dead. They learned the reason they wanted him dead was because said he was the Son of God. They also learned the one who wanted Jesus dead the most was God and the reason that God wanted Jesus dead was to save us from our sin, to give us eternal life and the chance to live with him for eternity in heaven. While Ross was giving this lesson, the children listened fantastically and were intrigued by what they were hearing. Then when discussion time came the children asked great questions and showed how well they listened and learned from the lesson. What a fun filled week it has been at Exodus and it’s not over yet!

Quick catch the bean bag!

Prayer Points:

  • Pray that all the kids will come along to our final night and hear how Jesus is alive!
  • Pray for parents to come along and enjoy the BBQ
  • Pray for Mark and Steph Edmondson as they run the BBQ
  • Pray that the children will remember the teaching from this week and that it changes their lives.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
