Exodus Holiday Club - Day 3

Exodus Holiday Club - Day 3

Another funfilled night where every single child in the room was all enthusiastic towards the games, quiz and lesson. During the quiz towards the end of the night, I was especially encouraged as to the way each child who answered a question did not need to be prompted by their leader as to what the answer was. I think it's pretty obvious to me, and all the other leaders, that the kids are more and more eager to learn about Jesus as the week goes on.

A packed room!

A packed room!

You can tell from the look on the children's faces during the songs, that they are enjoying every minute worshipping Jesus, and I only hope that the worship songs are one of the many things they take part in at the holiday club which will encourage them to ask Jesus into their lives. The children are all keen to remember the memory verse and complete the activity sheets they are given to earn more points for their group.

The games competition

One thing which I will remember about this years holiday club is the fact that before the doors are even opened, the children are queuing up long before it's due to start. This is the first of many encouragements we have had over the past three nights.

Prayer points:

  • Pray that if any of the children have a question to ask, that they may feel comfortable enough to ask one of the leaders
  • That they feel the presence of God around them when they want to know more about him
  • Pray that there will be a good turn out of families during the service on Sunday
